The Montessori Center (TMC) is proud to be affiliated with the American Montessori Society, and to uphold the highest standards in the early childhood education field.

Founded in 1983, The Montessori Center continues it’s dedication to helping each child successfully develop in a loving, secure, and academically outstanding environment.  Jessica Salinas, Director and daughter of the school’s founder, Marquita Dubach, leads the school and is also an honored part of the dedicated team at TMC.  The entire staff at TMC appreciates and affirms every child’s unique spirit and values strong partnerships with parents.

Located in the historic Hyde Park District of central Austin, TMC is close to the University of Texas and convenient to downtown. We serve 60 children ages 2 – 6, following the Austin Independent School Districts’ calendar with slight alterations.

Our Affiliate Programs

Mariposa Spanish School

Mariposas is a hands-on, thematically organized program that allows children ages 2-10 to learn Spanish through music, literature, games, visual aids, sign language, art and beyond.

Soccer Shots

Soccer Shots is a leader in youth soccer development for children ages 2-8. Our nationally recognized program offers a high energy, fun, age-appropriate introduction to the wonderful game of soccer.

Opus One Music

Opus One Music is a preschool age music experience program taught by trained, energetic, dependable instructors in weekly 30 minute sessions here at The Montessori Center,

Dance Associates Austin

In this program, children develop awareness of themselves as physical, social, and creative beings through dance and movement.
